FUBU Basic tee

Welcoming to the team: FUBU. A brand that is almost synonymous with 90’s Hip Hop streetwear. Launching into god status in 1992, where founder Daymond John, hailing from Queens, New York along with the help of four of his childhood friends, created a line of streetwear “For Us, By Us” and so became FUBU. By 1998, names such as Dr Dre, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes and LL Cool J were all sporting the gear, with the latter going into a $30 million dollar GAP brand campaign wearing a FUBU cap, looking at the camera and rapping “For Us, By Us, on the low” despite FUBU having no connection to GAP—the commercial was funnily enough pulled later that month, but this new brand and new name was already out there and FUBU had just unknowingly secured the endorsement of a lifetime. FUBU then went on to release a studio album, featuring LL COOL J, Nate Dogg and Keith Murray with all the music video’s featuring the FUBU apparel.

Now FUBU are back, for not only a re-brand but also a reminder for the new generation of streetwear kings, that 90’s style is here, better than ever, ready to reflect the style of music, fashion and sports that originally put them on the market.

The FUBU Basic Tee is made with heavyweight cotton, an overlayed pigment dye wash, iconic FUBU logo on the chest and a sightly relaxed and oversized fit.
