The 1986 season was no doubt one of Parramatta Eels most impressive to date, winning their 4th premiership title! It was also the only scoreless grand final in history, with the Eels winning off the back of two penalty goals. This season they were also bringing in the most supporters in the league, with an 20k average turnout to Parramatta Stadium game and saw Mick Cronin and Ray Price play their final NRL game, with the former stating in a post-game statement on the dais “This is the proudest moment of my career…and the last time I play here.”
