Going up against the raining champs, the Raiders absolutely dominated the game with a 38 to 9 defeat that went down in history as one of the biggest Super Bowl margins, and is still 40 years later the most points scored by an AFC team in a Super Bowl game. Raiders halfback Marcus Allen was named Super Bowl MVP and boasted 20 ball carries, a then-record total of 191 yards, two touch downs, another then-record of 74-yard run in the third quarter and was the first running back who was a halfback to be named Super Bowl MVP!
